Golf Performance Training
Of all the things Tiger Woods has contributed to Golf, one of his greatest achievements is bringing fitness to the forefront of Golf. Without Tiger’s strength, flexibility, and core stabilization he would not be able to swing his club the way he does, and it’s that swing that has brought him championships.
It is not just a general fitness regiment that will propel your game, but Golf fitness training and strength training are the essential keys to improve your accuracy, power, and fully realize your potential in competitive play.
An Individualized Sport Specific Performance Training program focuses beyond just the general Sport Specific needs of playing Golf but towards each of the necessary physical components required to ring your score down and play your best: Flexibility, strength, and core stabilization. Your 60 minute comprehensive Golf Performance Training session will include elements of strength training, conditioning, core strengthening and stabilization, balance and proprioception training, flexibility training, and injury prevention that will be customized to your specific needs based on your flexibility, core strength, level of competition, injury history, goals, and the results of your Functional Movement Screen.
Additionally, if you are a female Golfer your chances of getting a non-contact Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury are much greater than your male counterparts and therefore part of your Golf Performance Training Session will include specific exercises, developed from the most current research, on correcting the muscle imbalances and body mechanics that make you more susceptible to having a non-contact ACL injury.
Our Performance training staff are all Licensed Physical Therapists in the state of New Jersey who have their Doctorate degrees in Physical Therapy with over 7 years of experience in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Additionally, they have had to go on and get post- professional national certifications in the areas of strength and conditioning. This ensures that each golfer will be trained by the industry’s practitioner of choice for performance training and injury prevention.
